I AM writing to tell you of my disappointment and anger as a result of a visit to the Festival Theatre Malvern on Wednesday evening, October 9.
My wife and I are regular theatregoers and always park in the council house car park, arriving there at 7.15pm.
On returning to our car after the performance I found along with other theatregoers an excess parking charge notice on my windscreen.
Apparently, having checked subsequently with council staff, parking charges have recently been extended to 24-hour coverage but there was no obvious notice of that change.
Perhaps a warning note on the windscreen would have been more appropriate than a ticket?
Anyway the point of me writing is to say that the experience has coloured my view of Malvern.
Although my wife and I have been regular theatregoers and shoppers in Malvern, it will be Worcester, Tewkesbury and Cheltenham which will have the benefit of our visits and spending in future.
Well done, Malvern!
NEIL AND MAUREEN HICKLING Worcester
