I'd love to chat

IT was pleasing to see that Conservative councillor Roger Hall-Jones accepts my assertion that there should be no place for party politics in town or parish councils; his letter to the Gazette last week was considered and gentlemanly.
Roger mentions the Liberals. They decided years ago on the party politics issue, so we are moving in the right direction.
Please note that I have resigned from the local Lib-Dem group so that any hint that I say one thing and do another can be immediately scotched.
I believe politicians should always apply their time on a two-to-one basis, we are born with two ears and one mouth, a wise politician uses these assets in that proportion; please remind me of this whenever I forget that principle.
I come to the council with a mandate from Malvern Chase voters to keep party politics out of Malvern Town Council.
Roger mentions the undeniably brilliant work of MTAG in their early days, and to some extent more recently, however, it now presents an issue.
- Councillors meetings away from the council chamber that have no minutes taken are invisible from the public eye The Freedom of Information Act 2000 deserves to be fully and explicitly supported by councillors both in spirit and to the letter.
Roger has been a councillor for years and is very respected by many, I would love to have a oneto- one chat with him.
