AS the newly elected Malvern Town Councillor for the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP)
representing Malvern Link ward, I would like to say a huge thank you to all those people who took the trouble to turn out and vote, and especially to those who chose to put their faith in me.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my supporters, who so generously gave their time and energy, by delivering so many campaign leaflets, and talking with the local people they met.
May I also reiterate my assurance to all Malvern Link residents, and to Malvern residents in general, that I will respond to any enquiries or concerns they may have, both promptly and honestly, and will do my very best to represent them.
As one of many British people increasingly concerned with the undemocratic and costly changes inflicted on our country by apparently unaccountable politicians, who ignore growing calls for a referendum on the fundamental issue of Britain’s ongoing immersion into the EU experiment, I consider the winning of this seat for UKIP as one of the many manifestations of the country’s political shift towards the honest, common sense representation it offers as Britain’s newest democratic force.
WILL RICHARDS Malvern
