I SEE the council is trying to increase fly tipping in the area with new rules at their household waste sites.
Up to now anyone with a commercial type vehicle including pickups, or anyone with a trailer which is more than 1.3 metres long had to apply for a permit, there was no limit on the number of these permits.
The new rules state only 12 permits per household per year, and no twin axle trailers allowed.
This is fine for the town dwellers with small gardens and undertaking no DIY or home improvements.
For those of us who wish to dispose of and recycle our waste responsibly we are now being restrcted just because of the vehicle we choose to own or the fact our trailer has four wheels instead of two.
When my household has run out of permits I will have no hesitation in dumping my rubbish at the council offices where the oxygen thieves that make these narrow minded decisions can sort it out.
So much for encouraging recycling.
