Area needs meat

THE article (Malvern Gazette, August 16) referring to the posters removed by Malvern Hills District Council from the tourist office is slightly mistaken.
This material was propaganda attacking British livestock farming and not promoting vegan recipes.
The area covered by Malvern Hills District Council is known for producing quality livestock and being home to The Royal Three Counties Agricultural Show.
Yet Worcester veggies and vegans continue to vilify a farming community that feeds us, sustains jobs and conserves our countryside.
The organisation, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has jumped on the bandwagon looking for a little publicity by trying to plaster banners on the side of refuge lorries, again attacking British agriculture.
