Not brownfield

HOW can they call the playing field off Rothwell and Hanley Road “brownfield” because the owner allowed it to become derelict? Do a few brambles justify this label? “Brownfield” is the term generally used to describe previously-developed land, which may or may not be contaminated.

Brownfield land may be derelict land, which can only be redeveloped after the removal of chemical/waste risks, removal of derelict infrastructure or the removal of instability problems.

Thank you to Councillor Barrie Knibb for strongly opposing the awful submission that has changed from the original scope.

Unlike the chairman who seemed to be more concerned about panel fencing spoiling his walk.
