Not on Cloud Atlas

THE movie Cloud Atlas went on UK general release on Friday, but for some reason not in Malvern?

Could someone at Malvern cinema therefore explain why they choose to show Hitchcock instead?

Are they unaware that this movie blockbuster is based on a book written by Malvern local boy David Mitchell which incidentally was runner-up for the Booker Prize with the novel!

This surely is a major snub for not recognising one of Malvern’s talented brethren, and not allowing the local public to checkout the work of one of their own at the same time as the rest of the UK.

I checked with Odeon cinemas and they are not planning any showings in Worcester nor in Hereford.

CUE Don't seem to have it scheduled for Worcester either although I've not asked directly.

Nearest showings seem to be Cheltenham and Birmingham - to far for me.

After the mention of this film in the local paper I had expected a local showing.

Given the film is nearly 3 hours I'm not that keen on Malvern cinema given the quality or their seating - its bad for the backs of taller people. But I doubt it will be screened their anyway.
