It is depressing

STEVE Smartis saying that he finds local residents and their parish councils objections to new housing development proposals “deeply depressing”.

MightI suggest he be grateful that local residents give their time andenergies to show concernabout future plans.

Our councillors have deliberated in depth about the South Worcestershire Development Plan.

What local residents are now experiencing is developers pushing for planning permissionbefore the planis introduced to build on land that our councillors have discussed and deemed unsuitable for inclusion.

These developments undermine the long term strategic aims ofthe plan for all of our futures.

This is what Mr Smart should find “deeply depressing”.
