LADS do it again
3:30pm Monday 18th February 2013 in Letters
I RECENTLY attended a full house for the LADS latest pantomime, and the very high standards of previous pantomimes were maintained with their production of Puss in Boots, which I had never seen before.
It was great family entertainment put on with enthusiasm and everyone in the audience joined wholeheartedly in the fun.
We admired the outrageous costumes of the dame, laughed at the antics of everyone, and joined in with ‘he’s behind you’ and shouts of ‘bread’.
It was good to see regular cast members on their usual excellent form and they were joined by some new faces, especially Puss, who were a credit to the company.
I was particularly taken with the three youngsters who sang Three Blind Mice, and then we sang out loudly in competition with the rest of the audience.
A real family night out, without any of the smut which can mar professional productions.
And one cast member had their aunt up on stage to join in the fun as it was her birthday.
Ledbury should be proud of LADS and I cannot wait for their next production.
