I read in the Gazette about the argument over the wheelie bins, with Mike Charles being inundated with complaints against the re-introduction.

I feel that many places are inadequate to hold these, but I find them tidy and animal proof as well as convenient, which is why I bought mine.

Wouldn’t it be fair to everyone to choose their methods within reason, rather than people trying to dictate to each other how they get rid of their refuse.

It might also be an idea to bring a different design of bin to suit specific areas with a small one-off or easy payment charge. Whatever happened to compromise?
