Views ignored

First published in Letters

My guess is that the majority of people in south Worcestershire do not want any large scale housing development.

The decision to impose 1,100 new homes in Malvern by 2030 is dictated by government policy which is then nodded through by our councillors.

Local consultation is pointless and local peoples’ views are ignored and irrelevant.

I think there needs to be a new dictionary definition of 'Consultation'.
Something along the lines of;
''Act of council, government or employer in asking those affected by their plans for opinions, & then ignoring these views completely, & going ahead with said plans. See also 'lip service''.
