LAST week I popped into Marks & Spencer in Roman Way and saw a display of poppy brooches, with a sticker for the British Legion.
The brooches are very pretty and for a good cause, I thought. I bought one – it cost £15.
The next day I was at a local supermarket where there was a British Legion stall with a gentleman selling poppies, etc. After talking to him and making some discreet enquiries at M&S, I found out that M&S donate just £4.50 to the British Legion. Shame on you, Marks & Spencer!
