WHILE we are without our own priest at St Mary’s we continue to receive support from clergy and readers from other Malvern churches, and we are most grateful for their ministry to us.

We appreciate their different styles of preaching and we benefit from their years of experience in many different parishes.

We have a busy weekend ahead, beginning with our bi-monthly jumble sale at 6pm tonight (Friday).

There will be no service at St Mary’s this Sunday. This is to enable members of the congregation to support Clare in her licensing to her new churches of St Mark in the Cherry Orchard and Whittington church. We pray for Clare as she begins her new ministry, and for Peradur as he supports her.

We celebrate Ascension Day on Thursday with a service of communion at 10am.

Looking further ahead, Pentecost Sunday is on Sunday, May 27, and the following Sunday, June 3, we will enjoy a special Diamond Jubilee lunch following our morning service.

Then on June 30 we will hold the St Mary’s summer fair.
