SINCE November a number of year eight pupils from The Downs Malvern Prep School in Colwall have been working hard towards various scholarships to their next school.

Headmaster Alastair Cook is delighted to report that many have been successful and the 22 children have been awarded a total of 28 scholarships for excellent work and effort in design technology, art, music, drama, sport and academics.

Mr Cook praised the hard work of the children and the excellent teaching and guidance given by the staff at The Downs and said that these results were a fitting and well deserved reward.

In April, four more pupils will visit Malvern College where they will sit for the prestigious all-rounder Malvernian Award.
