MALVERN Floral Art Club held their meeting on Tuesday September 27. Chairman Helena Goddard opened the meeting and welcomed all members and visitors read a few notices and said everyone had enjoyed their day out at the garden centres they had visited in August.

Helena then welcomed Jayne Morriss from Stroud who gave us all a most interesting afternoon with her arrangements and stories. Jaynes theme being "Antiques and Flowers" The first beautiful arrangement amongst the Brass and Copper items consisted of green foliage fed gladiolus,yellow chrysanthemums and orange roses. Jayne then placed a identical arrangement below. Second an old large wooden box with the lid party open and appearing out a lovely arrangement of green foliage and all white carnations, roses, lilies and chrysanthemums and again another identical box place below. Third display placed on a old chair surrounded with old books green foliage pale pink gladiolus with white, orange and cream roses.

Fourth a collection old antique garden equipment and in the middle an arrangement of foliage including Rosemary mainly white and yellow anthuriums ,lilies dahlias and sunflowers. Finally the fifth arrangement an old pitcher consisted of pale and dark green foliage pale pink gladiolus dark pink carnations and pale pink asters. Maureen Stanley gave a vote of thanks. There was a very successful cake stand. Next meeting is at Hanley Swan Village Hall October 25 @ 2pm there will be a "House Workshop " "Long Lasting Arrangements" All visitors welcome at our meetings
