A couple of weeks ago I was privileged to be asked to go to a retirement tea at the Parish Hall. This was to celebrate the retirement of Joe and Jane Whitehouse from fostering. They have done a sterling job over the last 30 years or so fostering mainly teenagers, not an easy task I should think but very rewarding, not only to Jane and Joe, but to the children as well. Their own children thought it would be a nice idea to celebrate their retirement with a tea party and all their friends. Well done, Emma Lisa, Ben and Beth; now Jane and Joe enjoy your retirement.
