THANKS to the wonderful support of the Malvern Gazette, A Triangle of Faith encouraged people to visit this beautiful area of the county. The weather was not especially friendly, but the welcome was warm and the cake at the Berrow Village Hall especially scrumptious! The group from Twyning Church taking part in the annual 'Ride and Stride' swept around the country lanes by bicycle, and relatives of some of the 'striders' came were from Canada, so that looked really impressive on the Visitors' sheet. Some people came out to see the churches they knew from their childhood; others were great fans of the Heritage Open Days scheme, and looked on the website for interesting events. There were knowledgeable enthusiasts who shared their expertise about historic buildings. Local residents enjoyed the chance to find out at Old Pendock why there is a church in the middle of a field, to see inside the little wooden chapel at Pendock Cross and to view the progress of the Restoration work at St Faith's Berrow. At all three churches there were stewards who had known the churches for many years and so were able to share all sorts of information about the history. Both those who visited and the volunteers were pleased they could show how much Treasures are Treasured by participating in this fantastic nationwide celebration of our rich heritage.
