MALVERN Stroke Club is delighted to be invited to join forces with Clarence Park in Malvern Link for one of their Singing Afternoons on Tuesday, October 4 from 2pm followed by a cuppa and a chat in their café afterwards. We are hoping to create regular contact with Clarence Park through their Activities Coordinator, and would encourage any residents there to join us if they would like to.

Stroke Club normally meets at the slightly later time of 2.30pm- 4.30pm on alternate Tuesdays at Somers Park Avenue Methodist Church Hall. We have been meeting for over 35 years and have room for more members if you would like to join us.

If you, a friend, a family member or neighbour have suffered a stroke and have lost the courage to go out and meet people, then do give us a call.

We have a programme of lots of different things to do for the first hour, encouraging either manual dexterity with, for example, crafts, gardening, or chair-based exercises, or exercise for the brain with fun quizzes, games and puzzles and now singing! Following the activities we have tea, cakes, conversation and the opportunity to meet people who may have similar experiences to share. We also have regular trips out which, this summer, included Croome Park and a Boat Trip.
