We made history this evening - it is the first time we have held a meeting in August. We shall be missing January in future.

At the village hall fete which is being held on Saturday August 13th we are having a book stall which Sandra has kindly volunteered to run for the afternoon.

Jerusalem sweetly sang, minutes read, we then closed the curtains, dimming the hall so that our speaker for the evening, Ray Sturdy could begin his slide show and talk on 'Malvern memories and marvels'. We saw many fascinating vintage photographs of Great Malvern, the hills and the Priory. Ray told us (with much humour!) of the Malvern water cure and of the illustrious people who had once resided in or visited the area. Ray received an enthusiastic round of applause at the end and Louise thanked him on behalf of us all.

We rounded off this lovely evening with our customary tea, coffee and biscuits. Our next meeting will be on the 1st September.
