In July Bosbury visited the International Centre for Birds of Prey at Newent. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon as we watched the flying displays of a wide range of raptors from red kites to peregrine falcons. A tiny burrowing owl caused much amusement when he was spooked by a visiting heron and promptly vanished down a hole. After a welcome cup of tea and cake some of the party stayed on to watch the late afternoon display.
The next open meeting is on Thursday, 8th September at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall when our speaker will be Madeleine Horton on “How to make a Fascinator”. In August there are two events planed. On Thursday, 4th August a Cheese and Wine evening at Church Lea from 6.30 pm and on Thursday, 18th August a walk followed by a soup and roll lunch at New Winsordine, Coddington. New members and visitors are always welcome and for further information please phone Sue on 01531 640029.
