A passion for strawberries was what our speaker delivered at our July meeting. Chris Nicholson, an ADAS fruit consultant, spoke about his involvement in the horticultural industry and the changes and developments in the production of strawberries.
Having whetted our appetite for strawberries we then enjoyed eating them with some cream and of course the requisite glass of bubbly!
We have a summer outing planned for August and we resume our normal meeting time and venue in September, when we have the singer, Sue Black to entertain us.
