TONIGHT and tomorrow night, the Ledbury Community Choir are singing at the Ledbury Rugby Club, 7.30pm, and will have live accompaniment with the choir’s pianist, Phil Holland, and Dave Kettle’s band. Why not treat yourself to a super evening out at only £10 a ticket? (please phone Tessa or Dee on 01531 634630 and 634105 respectively.) The Chamber Choir will also be performing and some of the singers will be from Wellington Heath.

This Sunday is Christ Church’s Car Boot Fundraising Day at the Ledbury Car Boot Sale. Please contact Kay (01531 632033) if you have any items to donate. The church service this week is Family Communion, at 9.30am as usual. All welcome.

The last Bible Study for the summer will be this Tuesday, 10am, at Brian & Christine’s home.

A couple of village residents have indicated that they have heard the cuckoo in recent times. Sadly, I have not, but did you know that it is traditional to write to The Times and tell them when first you hear the cuckoo in spring?

The school’s summer holidays are imminent and we wish all the scholars, and teachers, a good break. To all, travel safely and stay well.

And a thought to end with: ‘Don’t ruin a good today, by thinking about a bad yesterday.’
