THE Malvern Floral Art Club held their meeting on June 28 Chairman Helena Goddard opened the meeting and welcomed all members and visitors gave a few important announcements and then introduced Yolanda Cambell from Hereford who kept us all amused with her stories while demonstrating her arrangements her theme being "Thro' the Garden Gate". First arrangement using a medium size milk churn with yellow foliage trailing white daisies lavender and red roses Yolanda then placed a smaller identical display by the side. Second arrangement using a chair the seat covered in moss with yellow roses and orange gerberas, again an identical smaller display placed by the side. Third arrangement a large bowl to represent a waterfall. Lots of green foliage mimosa and various types of grass. Fourth all different types of twigs woven together on a square block, Fifth with a oblong container to represent a herbaceous border yellow and green foliage poppy heads foxgloves yellow gladiolus and roses pink carnations with lots of large leaves placing a small piece of bark each side. Sixth display shallow dish containing large foliage assortment of flowers including mimosa pink peonies and gerbera. Yolanda then unveiled the garden gate a tall arch from the top trailing foliage with pink carnations mimosa and orange gerbera . A vote of thanks was given by Marilyn Eardley The club competition was won by Maureen Stanley. Second Marjorie Archer. The next meeting July 26 at Hanley Swan Village Hall 2pm. Demonstration with Judy Aldridge her theme "Plants for Flower Arrangers." There will be a plant stall.
