For all keen gardeners anxious to have the perfect lawn, the Garden Club will enjoy a talk by Rob Gisbourne of GreenThumb Lawn Treatment Services this Wednesday evening. Doors of the Memorial Hall open at 7.45pm for an 8pm start.

The Wellington Heath Walkers have just enjoyed a walking trip in Selworthy, Somerset. Walks are back to usual now on Thursday mornings, meeting at the Memorial Hall, 9.30am.

Our thanks again to all the volunteers who keep the walking paths, the village’s road verges, the cemetery grounds, the Memorial Hall yard, and Pool Piece looking pristine. With the mixture of lots of rain and lots of sunshine, everything has been growing at a rapid rate.

The Ledbury Poetry Festival continues until Sunday 10 July. The Ledbury Food Group have joined forces with the poetry fans to bring you six hours of non-stop music, poetry and delicious food in the carparks off the High Street this Sunday, 12noon to 6pm.

To all going away on holiday, travel safely and have a good time: to those remaining, have a wonderful summer!

And a thought to end with: ‘Oh, the summer night, Has a smile of light, And she sits on a sapphire throne.’ (Bryan Procter)

Enjoy your week!
