WE love how involved we are in the community and nothing gives us more pleasure than to hear you say that you enjoy coming to our events and you want to be part of that community . At the annual service for Churchwardens last week Archdeacon Robert Jones emphasised this very thing saying that the Church is not a “private club” . Indeed it isn’t and all are welcome at Christ Church either for Book Fairs, our Friday Coffee Shop in our Church Hall, our concerts and other events and, of course, our services. We love nothing more than to throw open our doors and welcome all, no one needs a membership card!! Look at our web site on www.christchurch-malvern.org.uk .to see what is happening and you can also read our latest magazine on line there.

So , we hope you will all get behind us in supporting our next concert, this is to raise money for a vital local charity, Worcestershire Cancer Aid, supporting families in the area when they need it the most and giving immediate help and reassurance at a time when people need it the most. The concert is unique in so much as it is show casing a piece of music that has not been heard in Malvern for over 10 years . The Messiaen Players, from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, will perform, Messiaen’s 'Quartet for the End of Time’, a truly remarkable piece of music, composed and premiered in a POW camp and recognised as one of the 20th century’s most important compositions. The programme will also include Debussy’s Première Rhapsodie for clarinet and piano and the Sonata for cello and piano. Tickets are £10 or £20 for a family & students £6 and children under 11 free on Sunday 19 June at 3pm. refreshments will also be served. Before then our Saturday Book Fair from 10a.m. to 12noon on 18 June and our 11am. Holy Communion on Sundays.
