PRIORY members have been very busy lately, beginning with welcoming visitors in their hundreds to our church on Bank Holiday Monday. As well as the opportunity to explore our building and learn some of its 900 and more years of history, there was a varied programme of music performed by church members, and as always, copious home-made cake to accompany refreshing drinks.

Our celebrations for the Queen's 90th birthday began with our newly refurbished bells ringing out on Saturday. Our Sunday morning worship gave thanks for her long life and reign reflecting her steadfast Christian faith. We had planned a “street party” to follow, but the weather deemed otherwise and we moved indoors to enjoy lots of food brought by lots of people. The two highlights were a very professional performance by Malvern College's Jazz Band of tunes familiar and new to us; and then the hats... We had been asked to wear a hat, and how we did; small, large (extremely), hand-made or couturier, most with a patriotic theme and at least one reflecting the sun that eventually put in an appearance. All very memorable.

Equally memorable for hundreds of local schoolchildren will be Lifepath, running from Monday 20 June. Find out more from our website.

We are often asked when the tower can be climbed: so please note, your chance will be on Saturday 25 June between 11.00 and 1.30. Book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment!
