ON Sunday, June 12, Parish Communion will be celebrated at 9.30am at Holy Trinity Church, Bosbury. All are welcome.

Bosbury and Coddington’s new Defibrillator will soon be installed outside the Parish Hall. On Thursday, June 16, a Community Defibrillator Seminar will be held at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall. The Community Heartbeat Trust will be demonstrating the use of defibrillators and explaining how the equipment works and its benefits to the community in saving precious minutes in the treatment of a sudden cardiac arrest. Everybody is welcome to come along. No special skills are required, just your willingness to play an important role in the event of a medical emergency. The more people who know how to use the portable defibrillator installed in our community, the more chance there is of saving the life of a victim of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The next Flicks in the Sticks presentation, on Friday June 17, will be sci-fi thriller The Martian (Cert 12A) starring Matt Damon. Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm on Mars. Alone on a hostile planet, he must use all his ingenuity to survive and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive – while, millions of miles away, NASA is working tirelessly to bring ‘the Martian’ home, and his crewmates plot an incredible rescue mission. Homemade ice cream, wine and nibbles will be available on the night. Entrance is £5. The Parish Hall doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

The next Farmers’ Market and Coffee Morning will be on Saturday, June 18, between 10.30 and noon, at Bosbury Parish Hall. New stalls are always welcome, space permitting. To take a stall you need to pre-book by calling Rhinedd (01531 640076) or Liz (01531 640415).
