FOLLOWING the Heritage Lottery funded restoration of the Ledbury Masters’ House, 2015 saw the launch of the Masters’ House “bunting project”.
The aim to create stitched pennants, representing every single tradesperson involved with the restoration. Volunteers from across the Ledbury community including the Ledbury U3A, local schools and so on, have been involved with the sewing.
To date, 280 have been completed, and are in the process of being been professionally backed and strung together, ready to be exhibited at Ledbury Community Day, on June 11.
There are 80 pennants which remain to be allocated and stitched, in order to meet the target number of 360. Further volunteers will be very welcome. A celebration “Pennants Party”, inviting all who have been involved in the sewing, is planned in July.
It is envisaged that the bunting will be displayed in the Masters’ House for some time to come, after the Community Day event.
