Following the success of the Daytime Concert with Rupert Marshall-Luck and Matthew Rickard in February, Malvern Concert Club are presenting their second Daytime Concert on Friday, April 15, this time featuring the Villiers Quartet. The programme begins at 3pm in St Edmund's Hall, Malvern College and includes Schumann's String Quartet No.3 in A, Robert Still's String Quartet No.2 and Sibelius' String Quartet in D minor, Voces Intimae. Tickets cost just £10 for Club Members and £12 for Non-Members (with generous student discounts) and include a programme and soft drink in the interval. The Villiers Quartet have been declared ‘one of the best young quartets around today’ (Jerry Horner, Fine Arts Quartet). Winners of the 2015 Radcliffe Chamber Music Competition, they are Quartet in Residence at the University of Oxford, 2015-2018 and were the featured quartet on the soundtrack to the recent BBC One TV drama, Lady Chatterley's Lover.
