THE Forum’s first meeting of 2016 looked at the key issues and opportunities confronting the local small business community this year, and what the Forum should do in support. After some thoughtful opening comments from three regular members, the audience split into four groups to identify what to them would be the most important issues the Forum should tackle this year. Some were familiar and bear repeating, such as the increasing use of social media in a business context, while others were specific to this year, in particular a special meeting in May around the EU referendum. The meeting provided us with a rich cocktail from which to draw truly relevant topics for this year!
The Forum meets again on Tuesday, February 16, when we look at what our local councils – County and District – can and do offer local small businesses to support their growth and success.
