HELLO again! The snowdrops are looking wonderful here, there and everywhere, and will make the month of February very cheerful.

This Sunday the service at Christ Church is The Common Book of Prayer, 9.30am. Come if you can.

The Book Club meet on Monday evening, 7.30pm, at Heloise’s home. The book under review will be ‘The Girl on the Train’ by Paula Hawkins.

On Wednesday evening, 7.45 for 8pm, the Garden Club gather at the Memorial Hall. Rowena Gale is the speaker and for more details of the programme, phone Margaret on 01531 635380.

The Wellington Heath Walkers are planning to stroll (or stride?) around Kempley this week, with Ted at the lead. Meet at 9.30am at the village hall carpark. We wish Pat a safe recovery after the icy conditions caused a fall a couple of weeks back.

Thank you to all who took the time to fill in the Parish Council questionnaire and I’m sure you’re anxious to know the results. This you can achieve by coming along to the Open Day at the Memorial Hall on Saturday, March 19, 9am to 6pm. Please note, there will be a one hour briefing session, ‘Housing – Where and Why’, at 10am, and again at 2pm. This will be your chance to ask questions and the committee will be only too happy to oblige.

And having just celebrated a significant birthday, I’d like to share this anonymous thought with you to cheer up your week: “I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process…..it may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?” Have a good one!
