ANN Oldfield chairman welcomed members and Beryl Griffiths who gave a most wonderful demonstration her theme being "The pleasure is mine." First arrangement in a metal frame filled with foliage red roses and red carnations second large wire basket lined with red felt trimmed round the top green and red using large twigs and foliage adding red roses and green chrysanthemums with trailing red ribbon. Third arrangement a large blue glass container green foliage blue hyacinths twigs sprayed pink, pink roses and carnations and blue delphiniums on to the fourth arrangement using a large white pitcher hellebore leaves dried monbretia pink orchids and small foliage. Fifth display dried twigs woven to form a square filled with pale green foliage in the centre yellow tulips Beryl had made three of these and when placed together it made a display. Three foot high the sixth and final arrangement a vase with twigs green foliage and white gerberas. A vote of thanks was given by Marilyn Eardley.
