MALVERN Festival Chorus were delighted to present a cheque for £705 to representatives from the charity Malvern Special Families at a recent Youth Group where they had the opportunity to learn about the support that the charity provides to children with special needs and their families. They also met some of the young people who will benefit from the donation.
The choir raised money for two local charities, Kaleidoscope and Malvern Special Families, through their annual “Carols for All” concert in Malvern Priory and carol singing outside Morrisons. The total raised was £1,410. The choir wish to thank everyone who donated for giving so generously at these two events.
They are now practising for their next concert on March 12 in Malvern Theatres, which will feature Elgar’s The Music Makers and is sponsored by the Elgar Society.
