DESPITE a cold evening, a record number of members attended the January meeting when a well-respected speaker, Ron Gallivan gave a talk on Gallipoli and how an ill-planned campaign resulted in so many deaths of allied forces. With audience participation, it was a moving talk.

The next meeting on 3 February 2016 will listen to a talk given by past-chairman of the Society, Frank Townsend on Family Tree Tapping. He will give a lighter look at researching a family tree.

All details on the Society can be found at www.mfhs.org.uk. The Society meets on the first Wednesday of the month in the Drama Studio, Dyson Perrins C.of E. Academy, Yates Hay Road, Malvern WR14 1WD. Doors open at 7pm. Refreshments are available. New members and visitors are welcome. Please note: the entrance is via the side carpark in Yates Hay Road. Look out for way pointers.
