MALVERN Conquest Art group has been meeting now for 10 years. The artists are all people with disabilities, for some the conquest is won when they manage to overcome their pain and get to the meeting place, others have a fight to hold the brush or see what they are drawing. All go home feeling it was worth the effort, they have achieved something and enjoyed the afternoon.

To make this possible for 10 or 12 people we need a core of regular helpers. In the past few months we have lost two excellent young people who have found jobs, and another is out of action recovering from an operation. So we are anxious to find replacements, any age, free on Thursday afternoons (twice a month), able to get to Malvern Link. Ideally we need helpers to set up and clear up, someone to make drinks, one or two others who can concentrate on making sure the artists have all they need. We don’t teach people to paint but we have resources to give ideas, inspiration and encouragement. A driver who could help with transport is also needed (Fuel allowance payable)

Conquest Art has branches in other towns. There is more information www.conquestart.org

If you would like to come along one Thursday and see if you could help in any way please contact me on 01684 5652188 or jntbingham@gmail.com
