OUR group continues to flourish with the monthly meeting now being held at Clarence Park Village, Worcester Road, Malvern. Before Christmas quite a few Clarence Park residents joined us for a relaxed Carol afternoon with musicians, Mike and Stephanie Halliday.

In January, we began by sharing some of the lovely pictures full of Bible texts painted by Hannah Dunnett . The pictures were then given away in a free raffle. This was followed by an illustrated talk about the work of the charity HANDS in Northern Thailand. Dave Alban and his family, along with a number of other Malvern folk have been involved with this work for years. We were encouraged to hear and see what an impact it has had on the lives of individuals and communities. It was all started by a Malvern couple, Dave and Carole Summers; they, with other members of their family, are still involved. At this moment two Malvern couples are in Thailand, one for several months teaching English, the other as part of a short team helping practically and spiritually. Some of the young people supported by HANDS make lovely jewellery and cards. These and other Thai gifts were available for sale.

Next month on February 13 our speaker will be Dan Bennett from The Source Church. The afternoon starts at 2.30pm and finishes about 4pm, everyone is welcome. More information from Janet Bingham 01684 562188
