WE HAVE had a variety of outings throughout the summer months, visiting Hampton Court, Croome Court and Lower Brockhampton, we had conducted

tours round all three which we all enjoyed very much, all with the obligatory afternoon tea.

We also joined ninety other Guild members from the County, for afternoon tea at The Holt Fleet, to meet the Regional Chairman Jo Dowling.

Janis Waldron talked to us about the history of teddy bears.

We did our annual stint manning the gate at Tenbury Show.

Judy Lage told us about Samaritan’s Purse, (Christmas Shoe Boxes), we loved to hear the stories of the children's joy when opening their special boxes,

we had a happy time collecting all sorts of goodies to fill our boxes with.

The shoe boxes were all taken to The Chapel of St. Mary and St Andrew, Knightwick to be blessed at a service conducted by Rev.Ann Potter, the pile of boxes grew and grew, as members of the congregation arrived from the surrounding parishes, with bags and arms filled with more and more boxes, the final count was 89!! The boxes will be going to Roumania, Bellarus , and any war torn countries where the children have NOTHING.

Our craft meeting this year, was held at the home of Di Cope, Little Witley, in her wonderful “Artium”, it is a huge conservatory overlooking the Abberly hills.

We were taught how to make angels by folding the pages of a book. When decorated, they all looked most attractive, every one was delighted to have an angel to take home!
