THE recent road signs indicating that work was to be carried out on November 2 & 3on the Ledbury Road that runs across the top of The Common, came to nothing. However, rumour says that the resurfacing of this road will occur instead on November 26 & 27. Watch this space.

There was a good attendance on Sunday at the Memorial Hall for the Remembrance Day Service, led by Reverend Howard Mayell and Reverend Rick Smyth.

Newcomers to the parish, and of course all interested residents, are welcome to attend the meeting at the Memorial Hall on Saturday, November 21, 10.30am -11.30am, where members of the Parish Council and Hall Committee wait to meet with you. If you have recently come to live in the village, do come along and find out about the various groups and activities that take place in Wellington Heath.

There will be a special display by the Neighbourhood Planning Working Group, and this will relate to new builds proposed for this parish.

A family film afternoon has been planned for Sunday, November 22, 2.30pm for 3pm, in the Hall. There is no charge although donations will be welcomed, and for more details please phone Natalie on 01531 632431.

Please keep Saturday, November 28 free and support Christ Church’s Angelic Christmas Fayre, 10am – 12 noon, in the Hall. Donations of items are needed for the raffle, tombola etc, and any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Phone Marilyn on 01531 633140 to find out what you can do. There will be several Craft Stalls and plenty of cakes for sale.

Save the date, Saturday, December 5 for the Christmas Variety Show, “Another Box of Baubles” in the Memorial Hall, 7.30pm.
