ON SUNDAY, November 8, Parish Communion will be held at Holy Trinity Church at 9.45am, followed by a Service of Remembrance. All are welcome.

The next Flicks in the Sticks at Bosbury Parish Hall, on Friday November 13, will be a sci-fi thriller Ex Machina (15) starring Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac and Alicia Vikander. Caleb, a programmer at the world's largest internet company, wins a competition to spend a week at a private retreat belonging to the reclusive CEO of the company. When Caleb arrives at the remote location he finds that he will have to participate in a strange and fascinating experiment in which he must interact with the world's first true artificial intelligence, housed in the body of a beautiful robot girl. Homemade ice cream, wine and nibbles will be available on the night. Entrance is £5. Doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

The next Farmers’ Market and Coffee Morning will be on Saturday, November 14, between 10.30 and noon, at Bosbury Parish Hall. New stalls are always welcome, space permitting. To take a stall you need to pre-book by calling Rhinedd (01531 640076) or Liz (01531 640415)

The Beggar’s Opera – a musical play by John Gay, is the latest offering from The Bosbury Players. It will be performed at Bosbury Parish Hall, at 7.30pm each evening, from Wednesday November 25 to Saturday November 28. Tickets at £10 each, £5 for under 16’s, are available from Bosbury Barbers, John Goodwin, Estate Agents, Colwall, Alfrick Village Shop and Gill Andrews (01531 640410).
