TWO very recent Save the Children, Malvern Branch, events have raised over a thousand pounds. The filming of Hamlet at Malvern Cinemas, when at the end of the film Benedict Cumberbatch gave an emotional appeal for donations to Save the Children for Child Refugees, resulted in £422.43 being collected from the generous audience. Thanks to Malvern Theatres for allowing two quick thinking members of the Malvern Committee to collect this amount. It will go to the Save the Children Child Refugee Appeal.

Our regular Quiz Night at Hanley Swan, also last week, raised £593. thanks to our brilliant Quiz Master, Simon, and our faithful quiz supporters.
