TOMORROW (Saturday, October 31) is Halloween and as that is the same day as this month's Hanleys Community Cafe & Market we, unsurprisingly, will be bringing witches warlocks and pumpkins to Hanley Swan's village hall - in the nicest possible taste of course, with tips for cooking pumpkins and a crash-course in the fine art of pumpkin carving.
In addition there will be the usual range of stall holders selling fresh bread, honey, preserves, fresh vegetables, garden plants, cheese, jewellery, pies, cakes, cards and a mass of other products between 10am and noon, plus live music from our regular pair of keyboard musicians.
We will also have available for tasting and for sale for the first time, apple juice from the 2015 apple crop of the Hanleys Community Orchard together with its new sister juice from the Little Orchards of the Hanleys and their Environs.
As always there is a raffle and cafe where you can sit with friends and drink fresh coffee and enjoy wen's delicioushomemade cakes at a very reasonable price. All monies raised by our market is reserved to support community events and organisations etc.
