AS the time for the changing of the clocks draws near, Autumn activities begin in the village.

The Line Dancing group is in action again, a new season of films begins on our large screen and a Flower Arranging class is starting.

But there are always plenty of opportunities to have fun and recreation here, the pool table is keenly in use most evenings and, together with darts, provides competition during our regular and extremely popular social gatherings on Saturdays. At these, the whole community can come together, chatting, often dancing or playing silly games; there is sometimes food or an entertainer, always the bar is open and there is a raffle.

During weekday evenings, dominoes, scrabble, whist etc can be enjoyed and our Cribbage team has recently joined the Malvern Clubs Crib League, promptly winning the Singles Cup and the runners' up trophy. (Our Gardening Group has also gained a further award from Britain in Bloom). There are quizzes and sessions of Bingo take place with a great atmosphere.

Please contact us immediately if you would like to join us on a Christmas shopping expedition to Cribbs Causeway, Bristol, on November 11.

We also invite you to an evening with the Woo Town Hillbillies at 7pm on Thursday, October 29, tickets £5, and at 3pm on Sunday, November 8 there will be a concert by the Worcester Ukulele Club, in aid of Children in Need.
