WEST Worcestershire Labour Party is holding a discussion meeting in November to consider the pros and cons of British membership of the European Union.

This is one of a series of events open to all members and supporters to share ideas about local and national issues. Our aim is to give people the opportunity to put forward, and listen to, views about what can be done to create a more prosperous future for everyone.

The first of these events in early September looked at what message the new leader should give to reconnect with voters, and what we can do locally to support this. A lively discussion demonstrated renewed enthusiasm for a change in how we work with people and communities. We wish to thank all the staff at Malvern Cube who helped us make this evening so successful. A collection raised over £100 for the Red Cross Syria Crisis Appeal.

The European Union meeting in November will be a chance for members and supporters to explore their views with two experienced and knowledgeable speakers, Birmingham Edgbaston MP, Gisela Stuart and West Midlands MEP, Siôn Simon.

In the New Year, we will be holding another event aimed at young people. Any Labour member or supporter wanting to know more about these events should check out our web site www.westworcestershirelabour.org.uk or email malvernlabour@gmail.com.
