TODAY is the Macmillan's annual coffee morning held at St.James'Church Welland from 10am until 1pm.

There will be a bring and buy stall, cakes to take home as well as eating a slice with your coffee/tea. Please come and support this very worthwhile cause.

The fortnightly whist drive is this coming Tuesday, September 29 in the Village Hall. Do come along and give it a try. They are a very friendly bunch of players and you will also be helping to fund raise for their chosen charity. It starts at 7.30pm and there is a small charge of £2 to include coffee/tea. For more details ring 01684 564334.

Don't forget the Welland Walkers! Start at 10am outside the Village Hall whatever the weather. Hardy bunch these folk!

Notes for your diaries. November 21 and 22 is St.James' Annual Christmas Craft Fair held in the Church. Tables are £15 for the weekend or £10 a day. To Book ring 01684 310289 and I suggest you book early as it is always well attended.

St Wulstan's Church Little Malvern will be hosting their Christmas Bazaar in Welland Village Hall on Wednesday, December 2. This is always a good event and well attended. More details will be published nearer the date.

Although the Macmillan coffee morning this week will be instead of the normal coffee and chat, I will still be there to take any news you would like me to write for the Gazette.
