A PARTY of Malvern Terrace Artists visited Birtsmorton Court last Wednesday where they were greeted by the housekeeper who very kindly took them on a tour, introducing them to the gardener and showing them the potager, an ornamental flower and vegetable garden.
They were allowed the privilege of a peep into the private gardens before finding their painting spots around the grounds, sheltering under the trees from a light drizzle.
By mid-day the showers turned to rain and the party withdrew for a jolly lunch at The Duke of York.
Later the skies cleared and some artists returned to continue painting in glorious sunshine until 4pm. Their efforts will be among over 130 paintings on display this coming weekend August 1 and 2 at Hanley Swan Village Hall, raising funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
