ON a warm but cloudy Thursday, July 16 members of the Guild, some husbands and friends boarded a coach for the annual outing.
This year we had two venues, the first was Monmouth where some of the shopaholics took advantage of browsing the many shops, whilst others visited the local coffee shops and cafes to replenish themselves.
We then travelled on to Symonds Yat where we had a lovely cruise on the river with a very informative commentary by the skipper of the boat.
The walk to the river through the churchyard and a visit to the lovely little church was delightful since the sun was now shining.
After disembarking a very nice cream tea awaited us at the local hotel with plenty of pots of tea to quench our thirst.
It was a really nice day which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
