The Farmers Arms pub is hosting a Beer & Beast weekend, from this evening, July 17, to Sunday afternoon. There’ll be lots to eat and lots to drink, all accompanied by live music.

This week’s service at Christ Church is Morning Worship and all are welcome to attend, 9.30am. The car-boot sale made approximately £225 for church funds and thanks go to Andrew and Kay Thompson who were the organisers.

The last village Bible Study for the term will be held at Val’s house on Tuesday, July 21, 10am when Reverend Howard Mayell will be back from his holiday.

Be sure to get your ticket (only £1!) for the Wellington Heath Memorial Hall draw. Prizes include free luxury accommodation in France, a trip for two to Morgan Car Factory, plus other prizes. Tickets available from the hall committee members or at the Farmers Arms.

Long-time resident, Peter Male, passed away this past week after a prolonged illness. He was faithfully cared for by his wife, June, and family, and we offer them condolences at this sad time. He will be missed. The funeral will be at 11am today, Friday, at Christ Church.

To all going away, travel safely and have a lovely time.
