ON June 21 over 30 members of the Black Pear Gardening Club and visitors enjoyed a visit to club members Andrew and Cathy Adams garden in West Malvern.

The garden enjoys wonderful far reaching south and westerly views from high in the Malvern Hills. It is about half an acre in size.

Andrew welcomed visitors and explained how the garden has undergone extensive landscaping and rebuilding over a period of four years.

Within the garden there are a variety of specimen trees, flower borders,wild flower meadow, bog garden, a wildlife pond and rill, greenhouse and cold frame also a fruit and vegetable garden. A new studio has just been added this year, where Cathy does her art work, replacing an old Summerhouse. Plenty of seating areas were provided to admire the view while enjoying the tea and cakes.

£180 was raised in aid of Cancer Research.

The next meeting is a visit to Pear Tree Cottage on July 18.

A coach trip is planned to visit Waterperry Gardens on August 17.
