The recent Midsummer Fair held jointly with the Beauchamp Community at Newland, Malvern, raised the splendid sum of £2, 800.
This was divided equally between the two charities.
In spite of showers the event was well attended. It was opened by Harriett Baldwin MP who said in her opening speech that it was one of her favourite events and in a beautiful venue. The delightful music of the Chase Band helped to create a lovely atmosphere as did the many stalls, the cream teas and the barbecue. There were guided tours of the beautiful St Leonards Church. Many thanks to the Beauchamp Community for hosting the event, to all who helped in any way, and to all our supporters who came in spite of the doubtful weather. The money raised will be used to support Save the Children projects both in this country and abroad.
