TOMORROW there is a wild-flower walk starting at Coddington church at 10.30am.

Refreshments afterwards are free, although a donation is requested to support the church there.

Christ Church service at 9.30am is Family Communion, and the prayer meeting on Wednesday is at the same time.

On Wednesday at the Memorial Hall it’s the HeartStart Course. If you have put your name down to attend, please be there for a 10.30am start. This is a chance to learn how to help someone in an emergency situation.

Thursday is a busy day in the village: The Wellington Heath Walkers are planning a day walk in the Byton area this Thursday. For more information, contact Maggie on 01531 640617.

The Craft Group meet on Thursday afternoon, 2pm-4pm at the Memorial Hall. For more details, phone Amanda on 01531 633325. And soon after that at 6pm, you can join Alison for the yoga class, also at the hall.

Next Friday is Barefoot Dancing in the hall with Jane Horton, at 7.30pm -9.30pm.

Also on Friday, June 5 is the opportunity to visit Longacre, at the Open Garden Evening, 6pm-9pm. This event in Colwall is to raise money for the Guide Dogs, and some of our villagers are taking part in the associated Coniston Challenge. Entry for adults is £5.

And here’s a thought to end with from Ralph Waldo Emerson: “ Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.” Have a good week!
